Since the agenda is packed, please try to be a few minutes early.

Presentations:

Independent Auditor Conversion Rates (15 min)
Charlie Rogers – Habitat Home Energy Audits

Charlie queried 100 of his most recent customers about their actions post-audit. Did they do the recommended work? Did they hire a contractor? What work did they do? Charlie will present an analysis of their responses.

Working with the Remodel Industry

Promoting Energy Upgrades with Every Remodel (15 minutes)

Task Force: Aaron Adelstein, David Bangs, Fiona Douglass-Hamilton, Jason Lear, Kevin Ward

When is a the best time to increase the energy efficiency of an existing home? When other work is being done! HPW is joining forces with Built Green of King and Snohomish Counties and the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild to promote an energy upgrade with every remodel project, and to encourage energy retrofitters to include additional sustainable improvements. Come, learn more, and let us know what you think.

Getting Practical: When is a Retrofit an Energy Remodel? (15 minutes)

Kevin Ward, Revolution Green Power (20 minutes)

Built Green remodelers improve the energy performance of each home, guided by a checklist. Home Performance Contractors improve the energy performance of each house guided by energy use scores. Let’s do a mind meld: How much energy does a Built Green remodel typically save? How much energy does a Home Performance Project typically save? What additional work is required to convert an Home Performance job into a Built Green remodel, and vice versa?
