JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESOURCE CONSERVATION MANAGER needed to lead and direct the Shared Resource Conservation Management Program across organization and departmental boundaries. Duties include but are not limited too; Conduct on site resource surveys and assessments of facilities to identify efficiency measures and best practices.
Audits and enters monthly utility and consumption data into a full-featured utility tracking database on a regular schedule. Documents and analyzes predicted cost savings for identified measures, and monitors performance through trending analysis. Analyzes use and trends of electricity, natural gas, fuel oil, propane, water & sewer, solid waste & recycling, and other resource expenditures and reports results to County leadership and departments. Serves as the primary point of contact with utility company on energy conservation, grant/rebate programs and green power initiatives. Coordinates with multiple departments on the recommendations. Trains building staff and occupants in conservation measures, as well as to increase awareness of the impact of behaviors on resource use and costs. Identifies opportunities, promotes active involvement and behavior change, motivates and rewards participation for all facility occupants. Promotes environmental stewardship and accountability to create a strong conservation.
HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:
Full time, schedule to be discussed at the time of interview.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Resource Conservation, Public Administration, Engineering or closely related field.
- Must have two (2) years of experience managing programs in the public sector or a large complex organization with substantial experience with energy conservation, facilities management, environmental stewardship and/or project management.
- Must have knowledge of resource conservation and sustainability practices and programs. Current federal, state and local environmental regulations and policies.
- Must have knowledge of building mechanical, lighting and integrated building control systems. Applicable building codes and state regulations.
- Must be able to lead organization process to obtain buy-in and active participation.
- Must be able to prepare reports and deliver persuasive, succinct presentations to internal and external groups.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, representatives of outside agencies and the public.
- Must have a valid drivers license to drive and conduct company business.
- Must successfully pass appropriate background check and is required to be bondable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Energy Master (CEM).
- Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP).
- Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM).
- Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP).
- Certified Green Building Engineer (GBE).
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.
SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:
$4304.00 to $5808.00 per month.
