Specific Job Description Candidate can be based out of Bellingham, WA, Seattle, WA, or Tri-Cities, WA areas but Portland OR is the home office.

The Residential Building Science Expert / Residential Quality Control Lead will work with gas utility client and program outreach, technical, and quality assurance staff to deliver residential gas energy efficiency program to utility's residential customers in the state of Washington.

Job duties to include:

- Provide outreach, technical assistance, and training to Program Trade Allies;

- Provide program direction pertaining to process improvements and new program initiatives;

- Conduct home quality control inspections to ensure proper installation of gas energy savings measures;

- Conduct commercial / industrial quality control inspections to ensure proper installation of gas energy savings measures (desired);

- In cooperation with program outreach staff, assist participants to understand program offerings and provide residential energy efficiency subject matter expertise;

- Provide input to general process improvements, prescriptive measure definition/approval;

- Research best practices from other gas energy efficiency programs to identify gas savings technologies for potential inclusion in program offerings;

- Supports EM&V activities;

- Represents program at applicable target market meetings;

- Alerts program staff of building code changes and other information relevant to program;

- Assists with identification and development of Trade Ally trainings as appropriate;

- Provides individualized coaching to Trade Allies based on results of quality control inspections and demonstrated need;

- Demonstrates knowledge of whole-house conservation systems (Home Energy IQ, HVAC, Energy Star, Insulation/WX);

- Provides assistance with IRP development, cost-benefit modeling, and energy engineering calculations as needed.

Standard Job Description Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer&os;s organization.

Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
