Direct Install Technician (Seattle)

EOS Alliance is currently seeking Direct Install Technicians to perform residential outreach and energy conservation services as part of our contract with Seattle City Light’s Powerful Neighborhoods Program.

Seattle City Light is seeking to substantially increase residential customer participation in conservation programs by directly installing conservation devices in homes and providing energy efficiency measures to residential customers. The City of Seattle received an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), a portion of which has been allocated to SCL to install or leave with customers compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), shower-heads, and faucet aerators in Seattle homes. This is the Powerful Neighborhoods Program. The objective of this program is to deliver conservation devices to 20,000 or more residential customers, with a specific focus on low income, non-English speaking, and elderly customers. EOS Alliance has been contracted to directly install conservation devices in a portion of the 20,000 homes.

Direct Install Technicians will schedule appointments with homeowners over the phone, travel to homes to meet with residents, install Compact Florescent Lights and smoke detectors, and provide showerheads, aerators and education.
